Kiss cutting is a process where you cut through the top substrates and stop at the backing substrate to create a tab for easy removal of the part, or in cases where the part is so thin in areas it may need something to hold it together before final application.

These dies are for more complex parts, or closer tolerance parts that are high-volume parts. These dies are also referred to as stamping dies.
Matched Metal Hard Tooling
The most common rotary die cut parts people are familiar with are roll labels. Just like labels, die cut parts can be produced from a roll substrate and then die cut and rolled back up on a roll. This can be done on various applications from gaskets to printed overlays.
